Germinación de Rodeo is a work that lives in the space between memory and the root, between what sprouts and what withers. Through graphite, the portrait emerges with a symbolic power: the face of an older woman blooms from the hands that hold her, or perhaps she herself sprouts from those hands like a fruit of the earth that formed her. The flowers on his head are not an ornament, they are a symbol: they represent the cycle of life, what is born in the midst of lack, which persists even in abandonment.

The work speaks of a place - Rodeo - but also of a state: that of those who grow up surrounded by silences, hardness and ancestral beauty. "Interacting in the land of oblivion," as the text that accompanies the work states, is a form of existence that mixes resistance with sweetness.
